Meet The Business Owner

Pathuma Farris

 

1 of 10 siblings, a mother, a daughter, and a business owner.

 

Her first exposure to the food industry was as a young girl learning the family recipes from her father and mother, as she had grown up working daily at 4 am in the morning helping run their family business and delivering Pastries around Stockton CA, where she grew up.

 

Upon her father's passing, she moved on from the food industry into the world of high tech Optoelectronics manufacturing, working as an operator on the Production floor.  She was quickly promoted and became accountable for 6s and continuous improvement activities. Pathuma was not the most confident of girls but the role in continuous improvement stretched her talents and imagination to new heights which gave her the desire to better herself and the lives of those around her.

 

Her desire to improve and aspire to greater things led her back to her original love of food industry and ultimately helped her to become the business owner she is today. Her standards are set incredibly high and meeting her customers’ expectations are the critical principles of the business she owns today.

 

Not satisfied with owning a business. Pathuma is now studying further activities around real estate investment and management. 

 

Pathuma, her girls Ali and Ava and her adopted son Xander now live in Cupertino CA, the kitchen is a very busy and sometimes messy place, but definitely a happy one.

 

The business, the kids, the continued studying, along with the drive to succeed are part of Pathuma’s journey but definitely not the end destination!
